Sammlung: Euphoria
A growing fascination with Naples in the wake of Elena Ferrante's Neapolitan novels formed the starting point for the Euphoria Collection. The unique aesthetic of the city served as an inspiration not only as a reflection of political, economic and social upheaval, but also for its feeling of colour and texture - its materiality.
Aesthetically, Naples today is symbolic of the political and economic situation of Southern Italy and many places besides: splendid historical and industrial structures are facing decline in the wake of political and economic crises, their façades fading and collecting dirt; metal structures beset by the elements leaving rusty streaks behind them, and the empty windows of abandoned office blocks standing as silent watchmen above the city and its inhabitants.
But Naples is also the city of life and love, of sensuous pleasures and the deep ties of friendship and family. It is a place of stark contrasts and deep yearnings. The patterns of Euphoria capture these in a choreography of contrasting colours and tactile sensations: floral compositions erupt from the fabric as symbols of hope from the rough and muted background, taking the gloominess out of the dark surfaces with their striking tones of magenta and orange. The flowers stretch their way across the fabric and form a powerful image of vitality - a vision of the future.
Each piece, once cut to size, is unique thanks to the impressive scale of the pattern. The printed surface, in the tailoring process, is spread across a three-dimensional garment and put together to form a new image every time.

Die große Faszination für Neapel nach der Tetralogie von Elena Ferrante bildete den Ausgangspunkt der Euphoria Kollektion. Die besondere Ästhetik dieser Stadt dient nicht nur durch ihre Spiegelfunktion politischer, wirtschaftlicher und gesellschaftlicher Umbrüche als Inspiration, sondern auch durch ihre Wirkung von Farbe und Materialität - ihre Stofflichkeit.
Neapel steht ästhetisch sinnbildlich für die heutige politische und wirtschaftliche Lage Süditaliens und vieler anderer Orte: Grandiose historische und industrielle Bauwerke sind nach wirtschaftlichen und politischen Krisen vom Zerfall bedroht, ihre Fassaden verlieren an Farbe und Putz, angegriffene Metallkonstruktionen ziehen rostige Schlieren nach sich und blinde Fensterfronten verlassener Bürotürme erheben sich als stille Wächter über die Stadt und deren Bewohner.
Neapel ist aber auch die Stadt der Lebensfreude, der Genüsse und der tiefen Freundschafts- und Familienbande. Hier treffen sich die großen Kontraste und Sehnsüchte. Die Stoffmuster von Euphoria nehmen dies als Choreografie gegensätzlicher Farben und Taktilität auf: florale Strukturen explodieren als Bilder der Hoffnung aus schroffen gedeckten Farbfeldern und nehmen den dunkel gehaltenen Flächen durch knallige Magenta- und Orangetöne die Düsterheit. Die Blumen erweitern sich über den Stoff hinweg und formen ein kraftvolles Bild der Lebensfreude, der Zukunft.
Durch das großflächig angelegte Muster ist nach dem Zuschnitt jedes Modell einzigartig. Die Fläche wird durch die Verarbeitung in ein dreidimensionales Kleidungsstück zerteilt und neu zusammengesetzt. Dadurch entsteht bei jedem Stück ein neues Bild.
